Category | Flow Meter |
Brand | SUPMEA |
The Supmea SUP-LDG type electromagnetic flowmeter does not contain moving parts, rotating gears, turbines, or bearings. Instead, it uses two electrodes to measure the magnetic field intensity created by an electrically conductive liquid, such as water, passing through the pipe. Therefore, there is no sensitivity to bearing wear or other mechanical wear and tear issues. The electrodes and lining materials used in electromagnetic flowmeters can be made from various materials to make them compatible with almost any type of electrically conductive liquid, including aggressive acids. The only limitation of electromagnetic flowmeters is that the measured fluid medium must be electrically conductive (> 5 μS/cm). Non-conductive liquids, such as oil and other petroleum-based liquids, cannot be measured with electromagnetic flowmeter technology.
